Coming from Castro?

If you like to look over new episodes before any of them play, Guestrell works the same way. Every new episode waits in New for your call. Send the ones you want to Up Next, keep others on the Shelf or for Someday, or Skip them. Nothing jumps the line on its own, and every episode of every show stays in your Library.

On top of that, Guestrell can follow people, not just shows: follow a host or a guest, and when they turn up on a show you don't subscribe to, that episode lands in New too.

Move your shows in three steps

  1. Export from Castro. In Castro, open Settings ▸ User Data ▸ Export Subscriptions. This saves your shows as an OPML file. Save it to Files or share it to your device.
  2. Import into Guestrell. On the welcome screen, tap Import OPML… and pick the file. Any time later, use Settings ▸ Your shows ▸ Import OPML… (or the OPML menu in Library).
  3. Check the summary. Guestrell shows how many shows came in, which you already follow, which were listed twice and which couldn't be reached, with the reason for each. Try Again checks the ones that failed, and Copy Summary copies the list.

After the import, each show's latest episodes arrive in New, ready for you to sort.

What doesn't carry over

Castro's export is a list of shows only. Your queue, Inbox, archive, played history, per-show settings and downloads stay in Castro, so set up Up Next and any per-show settings again in Guestrell.
